Hello, I'm Chance Edwards, and this will be my second year as Head XC/Track Coach at Hebron High School. I've been coaching XC/Track for the last 14 years.
In my time as a head coach, I've had teams/athletes qualify for the XC State Championships for 9 straight seasons. I've had the pleasure of coaching four Regional Championship Teams, one 6A XC State Champion, One 5A XC State Champion, two National Qualifiers, and one Nike National & Foot Locker National All-American. I was also named the CCCAT Girls XC 6A Coach of the Year during this time. On the track, I've coached 12 state placers, (including 11 medalists), the 2021 3200m back to back State Champ, and the current Class 5A State Record holder in the 1600m.
The rock that holds all of this together, so that I can do my job is my spouse. I've been married to my beautiful wife (Victoria Edwards) for 10 years, and we have two daughters, Brooklyn (4 years old) and Quinn (8 months old). We're excited to be a part of the tradition here at Hebron, and we're looking forward to a great season with the Hawks!
Hi, I’m Kelsey Ramirez and I was born and raised in La Porte, Texas. I’m the oldest of five, with four younger brothers who are super important to me! I started running when I was five years old in a local track program and kept on running throughout high school and college. I ran track and cross country at Stephen F. Austin State University for four years where I got my B.S in Kinesiology, and then ran for one year at Oklahoma State University where I began my Masters in Public Health. Whenever I can, I love traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with my family!
